Hotel Kastel

The family-run Hotel Kastel is beautifully set at the very top of a hill in a reconstructed medieval palace in the centre of Motovun. It features a spa area with an indoor pool.

The spa centre boasts magnificent views over the landscape of central Istria, the valley of the Mirna River or the famed Motovun vineyards.

All of the spacious guest rooms at the Kastel hotel have a private bathroom and a satellite TV.

Other than in the hotel restaurant, a special experience is offered by dining on one of the hotel terraces in the shade of a chestnut tree or a centuries old mulberry tree. Traditional Istrian cuisine, in which truffles are specially emphasized, along with famed Istrian wines, particularly Teran and Malvasia are a unique quality of this region.
