Chef Hostel Montefiore

Chef Hostel is set in a UNESCO-protected building from the early 20th century, in the centre of Tel Aviv's White City area. It offers free Wi-Fi, a lounge with LCD TV and DVD player and a sunbathing area with BBQ.

Opened in 2011, the hostel is run by a local family. The owner is a chef and personally cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are made from fresh products bought at the nearby Carmel Market.

Breakfast is a top-quality buffet of breads, cheeses, salads and omelettes, accompanied by Italian espresso. Fruit, snacks and drinks are available throughout the day.

Both rooms and dormitories are available and all have been completely modernised. They come with air conditioning and shared bathrooms.

The hostel sometimes hosts exhibitions by local artists and concerts by local and international musicians. Bikes are available to rent at reception.

The hostel is just 1 block from Rothschild Boulevard and the city's night life area. A surf school in nearby Dolfinarium Beach offers discounted rates.
