When you turn from the Planty down the narrow streets to reach the Wiślna Gate, you can hear the bugle call sounding from the top of Mariacka’s lofty tower. The Collegium Maius and other university buildings are just round the corner and a short walk along the Planty takes you to the Royal Castle.
